A Cultural Education Program for Pre, Primary & Secondary Schools

Immerse your students in the richness of African culture with our popular school workshop program. Offered to primary and secondary students, these workshops blend rhythm, dance, and storytelling in a series of engaging activities that enhance cultural understanding and foster team-building.

Enhancing Cultural
Awareness through Music

King Marong’s highly sought after school workshop program ‘enhancing cultural awareness through music’ has been introducing children to African drumming and culture in Europe, UK, Canada and Australia for 15 years. This program caters for primary and secondary age children and can be a single or a series of workshops building to a performance piece.

‘An African Cultural Experience’ is an education program for pre, primary and secondary schools, facilitated by King Marong and the team from Safara Music School. Workshops can take the form of a music class with a drum for each student or can be run as an interactive concert for larger numbers of participants.

Workshops can be as short as an hour or can involve an artist residency run over an extended period to develop more refined skills which can culminate in a school performance.

We have been operating for quite a few years and it was by far one of the best programs we have participated in. King was fantastic with the children, they were so happy to participate and absolutely loved the activities!
Maryanne, our director made the comment this morning that she would happily book for next Holiday Program! We try each set of holidays to have a different set of activities, however when you find something as great as the Jungle Jammin program you feel confident that the children won’t mind repeating the activity!
Thanks to King 🙂
